Rise and Flow of River Severn
On Plynlimon mountain, which is located in Ceredigion county, wales, the river rises to an altitude of 2,000 feet and passes through Powys, Shropshire, and Worcestershire. It discharges at 107 cubic meters per second at Apperley into Bristol channel which then discharges into the Celtic Sea and then finally into the Pacific Ocean. River Severn is considered an important feeding ground for birds like spot ladybirds and waders.
